Scrollsmoother jumps back to top when I resize window

Hi,

I have a bug where the page jumps to the top when I resize the browser window and when I start scrolling, it jumps back to where I was. I've seen in the dev console that the transfrom: matrix3D goes to 0 on resize, but when I start scrolling again, the matrx3d goes back to where I was on the page.

I know its better to do a small demo version but maybe its a known bug or I'm missing a parameter somewhere?

I've also done a video so that you can see what I'm talking about:

Thanks in advance for your help and have a nice day!

Hi @Kopp001 and welcome to the GreenSock forums!

First thanks for being a Club GreenSock member and supporting GreenSock! 🥳

Can you confirm that you are using the latest version  of GSAP and ScrollSmoother (3.11.3). I just checked these demos and their working fine:

https://cdpn.io/pen/debug/PoOpobM

https://cdpn.io/pen/debug/KKXZOyZ

If you keep having issues please provide a minimal demo that illustrates the issue you are having.

Happy Tweening!

Hi,

Honestly I don't recall what was the issue in particular and if Jack(@GreenSock) ever gave details about it. He keeps tracks of most of these issues and how they are fixed on every release. Hopefully He'll share a few details.

Glad to hear that the problem was solved! 🥳

Let us know if you have more questions.

Happy Tweening!

Do you know why the 3.11.2 was an issue?

Are you asking me to explain the details and the various inner workings that resulted in that behavior? If I remember correctly, it's a very tricky order of operation thing that would probably take a very long time to explain. ScrollTrigger and ScrollSmoother aren't exactly trivial :)

Glad to hear it's working well for you in 3.11.3.
