Reginna Posted September 23, 2022 Share Posted September 23, 2022 I used GASP and ScrollTigger in the Next.js (React) project, and used very basic code. import { useState, useEffect, useRef } from 'react'; import gsap from 'gsap'; import { CSSRulePlugin } from 'gsap/dist/CSSRulePlugin'; import { ScrollTrigger } from 'gsap/dist/ScrollTrigger'; export default function SomePage() { const secRef = useRef(null); const titleRef = useRef(null); const imgBoxRef = useRef(null); const boxRef = useRef(null); useEffect(() => { if (typeof window !== "undefined") { gsap.registerPlugin(CSSRulePlugin, ScrollTrigger); } let tl = gsap.timeline({ scrollTrigger: { trigger: secRef.current, start: "top top", scrub: true, markers: true, pin: true } }); tl .fromTo(imgBoxRef.current, { opacity: 0, scale: 0.8 } ,{ opacity: 1, scale: 1, duration: 2 }) .fromTo(boxRef.current, { opacity: 0 }, { opacity: 1, duration: 0.5 }, '-=1') .fromTo(boxRef.current, { y: '150%', scale: 3 }, { y: '-50%', scale: 0.5, duration: 2 }, '-=1') .fromTo(titleRef.current, { opacity: 0 }, { opacity: 1, duration: 1 }, '-=1') .fromTo(imgBoxRef.current, { scale: 1 }, { scale: 1.5, duration: 1 }, '-=2') .fromTo(secRef.current, { y: 0 }, { x: '-80%', duration: 3 }, '+=1'); return () => tl.scrollTrigger.kill(); }, []); } But got warning Invalid property opacity set to 0 Missing plugin? gsap.registerPlugin() Invalid property y set to 150% Missing plugin? gsap.registerPlugin() Invalid property scale set to 3 Missing plugin? gsap.registerPlugin() How to fixed this warning? Do I get something wrong? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
GSAP Helper Posted September 23, 2022 Share Posted September 23, 2022 It's pretty tough to troubleshoot without a minimal demo - the issue could be caused by CSS, markup, a third party library, your browser, an external script that's totally unrelated to GSAP, etc. Would you please provide a very simple CodePen or CodeSandbox that demonstrates the issue? Please don't include your whole project. Just some colored <div> elements and the GSAP code is best (avoid frameworks if possible). See if you can recreate the issue with as few dependancies as possible. If not, incrementally add code bit by bit until it breaks. Usually people solve their own issues during this process! If not, then at least we have a reduced test case which greatly increases your chances of getting a relevant answer. Here's a starter CodePen that loads all the plugins. Just click "fork" at the bottom right and make your minimal demo: See the Pen aYYOdN by GreenSock (@GreenSock) on CodePen If you're using something like React/Next/Nuxt/Gatsby or some other framework, you may find CodeSandbox easier to use. Once we see an isolated demo, we'll do our best to jump in and help with your GSAP-specific questions. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
GreenSock Posted September 23, 2022 Share Posted September 23, 2022 It looks to me like you're trying to run animations before your elements actually exist. In other words, imgBoxRef.current probably isn't what you think it is. Try doing a console.log(imgBoxRef.current) right before your animation to see if my suspicions are true. That error message basically means that the target doesn't have the property you're trying to animate. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
