dru_nasty
What license would I need to buy if developing websites for clients? Do I need a separate license for each individual client? Or can I get one license and use across multiple client sites?
GreenSock
Welcome to the forums, @dru_nasty If you're just creating custom one-off sites for individual customers (not reselling the same thing to multiple users) and you charge a one-time development fee and that site is free for everyone to use, that qualifies under the standard "no charge" license. If your GSAP-enhanced site/product generates a fee from multiple users (including micro-transactions, subscription fees, etc.), that's what requires the commercial license which comes with Business Green memberships. That "Business Green" license covers an unlimited number of your work products while it’s active. Just make sure you keep it active while you're charging multiple users. See the licensing page for details. The only other reasons to sign up for Club GreenSock is to Get the bonus members-only plugins like MorphSVG, SplitText, DrawSVG, etc. To support our ongoing development efforts. But please don’t feel any pressure. We’re passionate about having happy customers around here, and we never want someone’s money if they don’t feel like they’re getting incredible value. Hopefully you'd find that the membership pays for itself literally in one project when you consider all the time it’ll save, the added capabilities and performance you get...and of course that sense of having animation superpowers is priceless 🙂 Good luck with your project(s)! dru_nasty
These would all be one-off bespoke sites for clients, no recurring subscription. Club GreenSock is definitely something I'm going to do though. Been developing for a LONG time, just need something to make work more interesting and stand out from other cookie-cutter sites. Last time I was using GreenSock was back in the Flash days lol Thanks!
