Things which help in making it smooth will be ease and durations for tweens. if you want to overlap by bare minimum milliseconds use position parameters in the tween. 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If you want the bracket to move in one continuous linear motion, you can just use a single tween with ease: "none" for that: See the Pen QWOVPRd?editors=0010 by GreenSock (@GreenSock) on CodePen You had the "duration" in the wrong part of the .fromTo() tweens, by the way.
