BillE
Quick question, I have searched for this, and have seen posts that say timeline.timeline was a way to reference a parent timeline. However, it doesn't seem to have this in GSAP 3 or am I missing something. My goal is to get the playhead position of a root timeline from a deeply nested timeline. Thanks you very much. GreenSock
Ah yes, you're looking for the "parent" property. Does that help?
BillE
Ineresting, I thought so, vscode intellisense says it cannot be found, however i know its there because i can see the parent property in the browser inspector. It's not the list of properties for Timeline
GreenSock
Ah, I think that just means we need to add that to the TypeScript definitions file so that editors pick up on it better. We'll do that in the next release. But functionally at runtime it won't make any difference. You can totally use that property, but note that it's read-only.
