Oke thanks, before the switch form Edge to codepen/Gwd, i was already using tiny png.... Are you also using the greensock libraries....? I hadd Tweenmax (105kb) and Sizzle (18 kb) in codepen...so not much left ;-(

hello...( dizajner ) your work looks like what i have i mind... ;-( Would you saying is... try the new Edge? and work in code or just the UI...together with Greensock? I'm an adobe fan, and tried first Edge...but wen my files become to big... i've tried to use Edge for placing and did the rest in code ( in Edge, together with Geensock ) Those animations where must quicker and smoother then by the Edge UI...., but still to big. I've jumped to codepen and learn to do it in code...which was working...but at te end still to big. no external links to greensock libraries...so i had to put everything in the zip folder. So i stepped to GWD...which was working, but a terrible UI and not very smooth.. I'd like to go back to Edge... but what i have to do, or i how must i do it...to get similar banners, and no bigger files then 150kb?? ps. i want to use them in Google Adwords..

Hello...morning... I'm also in the banner-ing... first i've made them in Adobe Edge en put the .oam in our own (wordpress) site... But now we'd like to put them on google... While the Edge files are to big, i've started with codepen to do it by hand... at the end, i zipped it to a folder, and tried to upload it on google. Lots of warnings or errors... to big, http's forbidden...and at the end the link to greensock libraries... you may not link to external files so i had to put in the tweenmax.min.js and sizzle.min.js files...in the js-folder... ;-( to big again....sad enough.... lots of problems, so i'm gonna look at google web designer....with his (probably) limitations..

Allright...it is on the bottoms of my brain.. Sad enough i struggle with html / css and javascript when i see the codepens of other, i discover a lot...but not the basic things and ho to use it in a complete new codepen... what should be the best advice for me... learn html learn css learn javascript learn more from codepen's.... a month a go...i couldn't make anything...and now a very simple animation like http://codepen.io/cartamundi/pen/waNJom

thanks...it works! although not with background-image:url(" images/aanb1.jpg "); but with background-image:url(file:///Users/MacDrive/Desktop/burger-boy-finished-transforms/images/aanb1.jpg); ); i think i missed -image (behind background).. Codepen does a great job online..in the cloud...but when working with local files... you first have to save it local...and then put in the images... and then open index.html to see if everything works.. i'm gonna make a work out...that my images folder is the same as local.. Diaco thanks, you make my day! and i'm gonna try to do some html/css/js lessons...

Hello...maybe more a css question... but google won't accept my dropbox link or other extern links..everything has to be in the .zip folder. background:url(https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/29995708/aanb1.jpg); I must use a relative path according to my zip folder (the one i export form codepen...) does anybody know how i can do that? ps. i'm working on a mac...maybe there's a different..

You're probably right, but maybe someone has walked the same path...with greensock to google's internet...but i will dive into google's info thanks anyway

Hello, is it possible to make a banner as writen above..and to test on DC of google display network.. ( stupid maybe..but is DC a kind of plugin for GDN? or is it a different platform.. on my questions i get answers GDN only works with animations in css...and because of gap i will animate in the .js...) maybe some has the answer

hmmm okay.. the end of the road isn't near ;-( i thought i make a banner in html5(css/javascript) with gsap, export the banner and send it to google... NOT(*$($*@!*$) very big ;-( For as i can see now: GDN, hasn't much animations possibilities? and for more i have to use DoubleClick...is that a program or workaround like Google Web Designer, with more techniques? Behind the scenes i'm gonna look, and hoping to find some answers...which i'm gonna post.. ps. nothing for the gsap site? besides how to make banners, a workaround, how to get that banners online... ( for now we only use static banners on GDN...with animation the banners get more information and better positioning..)

I've got the same question... i have an advertising, and now it must be on google display network.. they only write...GDN accept only advertisings from Google Web Designer ;-(

ihatetomatoes; i also don't like them...and i hope with this steps, to get into your course again... because i'm a newbie in code...( a little bit html/css and none in javascript) the begin of the course was hard.. but i think or hope that javascript with gsap will be as big as flash...and maybe the standard for online animations... so this will be daily work...

You're right...( after tl; problem...) i was hitting the overlap problem... i'm a little (baby) step further http://codepen.io/cartamundi/pen/MwZwGv But a a newbie i'm happy with those mini steps... i have also saw a lynda.com course of gsap and the gsap course of ihatetomatoes...but most of the times...they are a few steps ahead of me... But i don't give up.. all help is welcome.. ( as you can see, my codepen is very easy...but when i get the slides animate as i want...the only thing what i have to do, is fill it in with images...)

Does anybody see, what is going wrong....? i want to create a very simple animation with 3 blocks overlapping each other..by transparency or moving... The start must be a white, background and then a fade in of the first image.... but when i start the animation...i get a flash of the first image...and then the fading from white to the image... i don't understand where the flash comes from... grt
