Sanjib Das
Dear Tutors, This is Sanjib i have a flash web banner which has two kind of navigation in it one is "next and previous button" and second one is "Tween Animated Tab navigation at the bottom" you can download the the folder of the banner by clicking on this link "http://www.touchpixl...er1/banner1.rar" . I want to change the dimension "width or height" of the banner, can anyone make the same logic in a banner in flash file format and upload some where or send it to me at "[email protected]", you can see the banner here "http://www.touchpixl.com/banner1" I would like to mention that i have lost the flash file of the "holder" file nad without that i am not being able to increase or decrease the dimension of this banner/slide. Thanks in advance Sanjib Das
Héctor
If you just need to change width or height, why dont just use the swf file as a MovieClip Symbol and then resize its instance height or width? That assuming you lost the .fla file but still have the .swf file,
Sanjib Das
Thank your for your kind response, I tried as you suggested me for the further. But when I am using the swf as movie clip the rest of the logics of this slide show like "prev btn, next btn, tween tab at the bottom" are not working. There is a swf file which is working as the "holder" and the holder is calling external swf files which are being played as "1", "2" so on in the slide show. If you just download the folder the download link is "http://www.touchpixl...er1/banner1.rar" you will see the folder and file structure the way it is made. My humble request you to please download this link and look after this and assist me, i would be great full to you. Warm Regards Sanjib Das
Carl
Hi Sanjib, Welcome to the forums. Please realize that these forums are dedicated to offering support related specifically to the GreenSock Animation Platform. Sure, someone here may have the time to build a new file for you, but you will have much better assistance in the Adobe Flash User forums: http://forums.adobe....ussions&start=0 or http://www.actionscript.org where the focus is more on general flash related questions. Best, Carl also, it may worthwhile to look into a swf decompiler which can create an fla from swf. here is a free one for Windows: http://h30499.www3.hp.com/t5/Following-the-Wh1t3-Rabbit-Down/SWFScan-FREE-Flash-decompiler/ba-p/5440167
Sanjib Das
Hi Carl & Hector, Warms greetings to you. Thanks for your kind response, I would like to mention that this file has been created by Greensock action script, here is my new link http://www.touchpixl.com/forum.rar where you can find the decompiled file and the original file both. Since I want the original file in FLA format so i can change the dimension of it but with the same function and logic as original. I tried decompiling the swf but it did not happen. I am really expecting your assistance, thanks in advance. Thank you very much Sanjib Das
Carl
Yes, the file does use some GreenSock code but it is only used for the rollover states of the buttons and sliding new swfs into view. There are only about 5 lines of GreenSock code out of approximately 300 lines of code for the entire project (MainTimeline.as + Btn.as) Timeline.as includes a lot of code for loading assets, dynamically positioning assets and handling interaction logic. When trying to compile the holder file I received compiler errors. That can happen for any number of reasons that can be extremely time-consuming to track down. I have tried my best to assist with the information and files provided. Short of dedicating a significant amount of time to a: fixing these files or b: creating new files with exactly the same complexity and functionality there is very little that I can do that would fall within the expectations of GreenSock support. Part of ensuring quality support to the users of the GreenSock tools is making sure we do not spend a considerable amount of time building projects or fixing projects where the problems are largely unrelated to TweenLite, TweenMax, TimelineLite etc. You have a few options as I see it 1) Seek assistance in a forum dedicated to general flash help 2) Hire a developer to assist you 3) Purchase a relatively inexpensive banner rotator from http://activeden.net...anner rotator and re-size it / re-skin it to meet the needs of your project. I wish you success in this endeavor. Hopefully you will understand better why I can't offer further assistance. Best, Carl
Sanjib Das
Dear Carl, Warm greetings to you, What if i want the same banner from Greensock, will i have to purchase another package? if yes how much it will cost to me please do let me know. Carl
Hi Sanjib, GreenSock currently doesn't offer any special packages that include custom code/project development at this time. GreenSock is laser-focused on providing the best performance, features and support to a very wide range of developers that rely on GreenSock tools. Unfortunately, debugging projects with missing assets or building projects from scratch is not a service that we offer. I'm sure if you consult another forum or look at one of the many online resources for Flash freelancers you will find people that are eager to serve your needs. I would even suggest that you could find a free tutorial that provides files that work very similar to your project. I regret that there isn't more that we can do at this time. Sanjib Das
Dear Carl, Thanks for everything, I have been able to compile that file myself, now the file is running without occurring any error though I have spent almost a week after it but after all i got the positive result out of it. Sorry for bothering you. Thanks again for your assistance. Good luck. Regards Sanjib Das (INDIA)
