GSAP Helper
What have you tried already? We love to see what you can come up with, that way we can see your thought process and thus better help you understand the tools! Please don't include your whole project. Just some colored <div> elements and the GSAP code is best. See if you can recreate the issue with as few dependencies as possible. Start minimal and then incrementally add code bit by bit until it breaks. Usually people solve their own issues during this process! If not, at least we have a reduced test case which greatly increases your chances of getting a relevant answer. See the Pen aYYOdN by GreenSock (@GreenSock) on CodePen that loads all the plugins. Just click "fork" at the bottom right and make your minimal demo: Using a framework/library like React, Vue, Next, etc.? CodePen isn't always ideal for these tools, so here are some Stackblitz starter templates that you can fork and import the gsap-trial NPM package for using any of the bonus plugins: React (please read this article!) Next Svelte Sveltekit Vue Nuxt Please share the StackBlitz link directly to the file in question (where you've put the GSAP code) so we don't need to hunt through all the files. Once we see an isolated demo, we'll do our best to jump in and help with your GSAP-specific questions. ✅
Rodrigo
Hi, Just use the getProperty method: https://gsap.com/docs/v3/GSAP/gsap.getProperty() See the Pen LYoWebp by GreenSock (@GreenSock) on CodePen Open the demo in a different tab and open the devtools console to see the log. Hopefully this helps. Happy Tweening!

mvaneijgen
Are you looking for something like this https://gsap.com/docs/v3/Plugins/MotionPathPlugin/static.convertCoordinates()?
Shouha
Dear, thanks for reply, i am not totaly aware of this plugin but based on what i read i don't think so this can help me as i don't have parent child situation and i am not talking about local coordinate i just want to find the top left corner of the rect even after make some tranformation like the rotation, i did this in gsap 2 but unable to do it in gsap3
GreenSock
@mvaneijgen is correct - that's exactly the tool you'd need. See the Pen abrJKVw?editors=0010 by GreenSock (@GreenSock) on CodePen It doesn't matter if it's a parent/child relationship - that method can convert coordinates from anywhere to anywhere.
Shouha
Dear, iam using the below function in gsap2 to find the top left point position in svg element like rect, as you can see to get this point position i sum the values of all these properties _gsTransform.x,_gsTransform.xOrigin,_gsTransform.xOffset to get the accurate value of x after some transformation like scaling and rotation i can't do this in gsap3 , do you have a solution for this? function findPosition(element, origin = "top left") { TweenMax.set(element.target, { transformOrigin: origin }); var x = 0; var y = 0; x += element.target._gsTransform.x + ((element.target._gsTransform.xOrigin == null) ? 0 : element.target._gsTransform.xOrigin) + element.target._gsTransform.xOffset; y += element.target._gsTransform.y + ((element.target._gsTransform.yOrigin == null) ? 0 : element.target._gsTransform.yOrigin) + element.target._gsTransform.yOffset return { x: x, y: y }; }
GSAP Helper
Without a minimal demo, it's very difficult to troubleshoot; the issue could be caused by CSS, markup, a third party library, a 3rd party script, etc. Would you please provide a very simple CodePen or Stackblitz that illustrates the issue? Please don't include your whole project. Just some colored <div> elements and the GSAP code is best. See if you can recreate the issue with as few dependencies as possible. Start minimal and then incrementally add code bit by bit until it breaks. Usually people solve their own issues during this process!
