Double delay after page transition

Hi!

If I switch pages within the same namespace, with a async page-transition in between, the delay time I assign to the timeline for this namespace doubles.

This only happens when I switch between pages in the same namespace and not between pages in different namespaces.

Does anyone have an idea how I can solve this? I appreciate any help you can provide.

Thanks!

Without a minimal demo, it's very difficult to troubleshoot; the issue could be caused by CSS, markup, a third party library, a 3rd party script, etc. Would you please provide a very simple CodePen or Stackblitz that illustrates the issue?

And what exactly do you mean by "same namespace"?

Please don't include your whole project. Just some colored <div> elements and the GSAP code is best. See if you can recreate the issue with as few dependancies as possible. Start minimal and then incrementally add code bit by bit until it breaks. Usually people solve their own issues during this process! If not, at least we have a reduced test case which greatly increases your chances of getting a relevant answer.

See the Pen aYYOdN by GreenSock (@GreenSock) on CodePen

that loads all the plugins. Just click "fork" at the bottom right and make your minimal demo

Using a framework/library like React, Vue, Next, etc.?

CodePen isn't always ideal for these tools, so here are some Stackblitz starter templates that you can fork and import the gsap-trial NPM package for using any of the bonus plugins:

Please share the StackBlitz link directly to the file in question (where you've put the GSAP code) so we don't need to hunt through all the files.

Once we see an isolated demo, we'll do our best to jump in and help with your GSAP-specific questions.

Hi @Schakelen welcome to the forum!

We ask for a minimal demo so that we can dive directly in to the code and help you debug, just some JS code is not going to tell us much how or why your setup breaks. As the GSAP helper mentioned codepen isn't always the best tool for the job, that is why we also link to servers templates build in Stackblitz which also you to setup your project like you have locally. (then still please include only the bare essentials of code, so that we only have to focus on the issue at hand)

So if you can include a minimal demo in which we can reproduce the issue and if you could remove all unnecessary code that would really help us help you.

Ik hoop dat het lukt! Succes in ieder geval!
