Hi everyone,

I trying to create animation for text using React (https://stackblitz.com/edit/gsap-react-basic-f48716-nr918g?file=src%2FApp.js,src%2FAbout.jsx,src%2Fstyle.css) (I paste these elements as a children in parent element). I wanted to change opacity from 0 to 1 by scrollTrigger, but only first element works fine when other start to jump or even dont work.

Its works great without react, but got problem with

That's because in each of your <About> components, you're using document.querySelectorAll(...) to loop through EVERY matching element in the entire document and creating a bunch of duplicate animations/ScrollTriggers for each. You've gotta be careful with how you select things in React. Limiting scope is essential. This has nothing to do with GSAP. I assume you were trying to do something like this?:

Thank you!)

Hii, I back again 😅 I trying to find the way how to animate same test, but words each by each (so that the words appear one after another). I tried to pass array with refs to make words unique and tried to pass array with HTML elems by getElementsBy..., but that doesn't work. Writing "GSAP target  not found", even when you look in console on arrays you can see that there an elemens

Is there some way to do this?
Thanks again😓

It's pretty tough to troubleshoot without a minimal demo - the issue could be caused by CSS, markup, a third party library, your browser, an external script that's totally unrelated to GSAP, etc. Would you please provide a very simple CodePen or Stackblitz that demonstrates the issue?

Please don't include your whole project. Just some colored <div> elements and the GSAP code is best. See if you can recreate the issue with as few dependancies as possible. If not, incrementally add code bit by bit until it breaks. Usually people solve their own issues during this process! If not, then at least we have a reduced test case which greatly increases your chances of getting a relevant answer.

Here's a starter CodePen that loads all the plugins. Just click "fork" at the bottom right and make your minimal demo

Using a framework/library like React, Vue, Next, etc.?

CodePen isn't always ideal for these tools, so here are some Stackblitz starter templates that you can fork and import the gsap-trial NPM package for using any of the bonus plugins:

Please share the StackBlitz link directly to the file in question (where you've put the GSAP code) so we don't need to hunt through all the files.

Once we see an isolated demo, we'll do our best to jump in and help with your GSAP-specific questions.

Be sure that the elements are there when the arrays are created, I mean right after you create the array do a console.log(), maybe they're not present at the moment the animation is being created, especially considering the fact that you are using a third party package to split your text. You should look into that package's API in order to find out when the elements are ready, it could take some time.

Happy Tweening!
