If so the best way to get the logic working again is to look at the original and what you've changed and work out what the difference between your example and his demo is. Also i am facing the same issue on the Codepen provided by you. Can you please check and let me know what i am doing wrong? I'm afraid I don't have time to dig into this today. This demo is a community demo put together by @mvaneijgen - If he's feeling generous I'm sure he'll take a look at it and fix it up. It is Christmas break at the moment though, (I just want to take that pressure off him and mention that) - so in case he's having family time and doesn't get back to you, I suggest you take a look at other posts in the forums. There are a lot of sliders and threads on slider in the GSAP forums!
