Math behind parallax horizontal slider

Whats the math behind the horizontal scroll, what do I need to learn to create this effect? We need to find out start point and how much to minus from where the user scrolls?

There are plenty of demos on the following page that show how to use ScrollTrigger to create horizontal effects: 

https://greensock.com/st-demos and https://codepen.io/collection/DkvGzg and https://codepen.io/collection/AEbkkJ - you may be able to use one of those as a jumping-off point. 

 

That site looks like it may not be using actual scroll, however. Instead, they may be using "scroll-like gesture" event handlers which is what GSAP's Observer plugin is perfect for. Poke around those docs and see what you think. There's a demo on that page. 

 

Otherwise, if you've got a GSAP-specific question just post that here along with a minimal demo and we'd be happy to take a look. We just don't have the bandwidth to offer free general consulting services or custom "show me how to create this cool effect from scratch" tutorials.
