Freezing image sequence on last frame

Hello 👋

 

I have the following GSAP timeline (animating on scroll with scrollTrigger) in the following order:

• Text element #1 animation
• Image sequence animation
• Text element #2 animation

 

The problem:

I'm trying to freeze the image sequence on the last image so that it remains visible whilst text element #2 animates.

 

Approach:

I have tried the following approach to freeze the image sequence on the last frame but there's a slight delay (visible flash out and back into the last frame):

 

.to(airpods, {
   duration: 60,
   frame: 208,
   snap: "frame",
   ease: "none",
   onUpdate: render,
 }, "start0")

 

.to(airpods, {
    frame: frameCount - 1,
    snap: "frame",
    ease: "none",
    duration: 10,
    onUpdate: render,
})
 

Any recommendations on how I can achieve this?

[GSAP Helper]

It's pretty tough to troubleshoot without a minimal demo - the issue could be caused by CSS, markup, a third party library, your browser, an external script that's totally unrelated to GSAP, etc. Would you please provide a very simple CodePen or CodeSandbox that demonstrates the issue? 

 

Please don't include your whole project. Just some colored <div> elements and the GSAP code is best (avoid frameworks if possible). See if you can recreate the issue with as few dependancies as possible. If not, incrementally add code bit by bit until it breaks. Usually people solve their own issues during this process! If not, then at least we have a reduced test case which greatly increases your chances of getting a relevant answer.

If you're using something like React/Next/Nuxt/Gatsby or some other framework, you may find CodeSandbox easier to use. 

 

Once we see an isolated demo, we'll do our best to jump in and help with your GSAP-specific questions.

Sorry about the tardy response, @Yuvash. It looks to me like you just entered the wrong frame number: 

// bad
frame: 208

// good
frame: 207

@selvercat, your demo is completely non-functional because of CORS (security) errors. If you'd like some help, please make sure you provide a minimal demo that doesn't have security errors breaking it.
