nThenSome
Hi Everyone, I am trying to morph a crumbled paper shape into an open paper shape. I have the morph animation working. But the crumbled paper looks like it is coming apart, not opening when it morphs. I've researched the docs, and tried the shape index, but no luck. If anybody has any suggestions I would appreciate your help. Thanks in advance. See the Pen rNWJZgJ by nThenSome (@nThenSome) on CodePen
mikel
Hey @nThenSome, The prep of the SVG is the secret: Take a rectangle (a path!), add as many anchor points as you think. Copy the element, place the anchor points and pull the curves as you like - the crumpled paper. The crumpled paper and the smooth one should have the same number of points. See the Pen ExNQBBN by mikeK (@mikeK) on CodePen 'Creating vectors for organic morphing in Adobe Illustrator can sometimes produce less than desirable results.' @PointC has an article about how to work around AI's 'helpfulness'. https://www.motiontricks.com/organic-morphing-getting-needed-points-from-adobe-illustrator/ Happy prepping and tweening ...
