Recreate multi-step animation

I've fairly new to GSAP but I absolutely love it! While perusing Dribbble, I found this animation and I want to recreate it -- at least in some form. I cannot wrap my head around how to setup the masking of the images in this way and the timeline to where it switches through a couple images and then swipes right.

 

I've done tons of searching through the forums and cannot find anything close.
