How can I animate only the div I click on?

Hey All,

Simple question I hope can be answered. 

At the moment when .card is clicked all the divs with the class .card animate.

I only want to animate the .card div that is clicked. 

 

I've experimented heaps with $(this) selection and I can't get it to work as intended.

Any help is much appreciated.

Can $(this) selector not work inside a seperate function?

If you want to push this out to a separate function, you'll have to pass $(this) as a function parameter. e.g.

 

$('.selector').click( function(){

  someFunction( $(this) );

});

 

function someFunction( el ){

  // do something with el

}
