[High CPU usage on SVG opacity animation]

I thought that could be the case, I tried opening it up in an extension free canary and got similar results.  Opera seems to be hovering around 15%

[borderRadius not work for ie8?]

This code would be adding an inline style with the border radius css property, which is ie9 and above:

I've got this relatively simple animation that I'm having a lot of trouble getting to a performant state. Initially, I tried this with keyframe animation in css and found the CPU performance to be horrible so I tried it with greensock tween max, but I'm experiencing similar sorts of issues. There around 20 elements on the page that are getting opacity animated with an easeInOut. 

 

I'm on a 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7 and seeing a 30-50% CPU usage on the tab within chrome task manager.
