VideoLoader runtime copies

I have this small smoke video clip that I want to play in 8 different places around my flash movie at once.

Should I load this video file 8 times to have 8 copies that I can play at the same time or is it possible to make a runtime copies of one loaded video?

I think your best bet is to load it 8 times. after the first load, subsequent loads should come out of the browser cache and there shouldn't be any waiting.

 

It is possible that there is an AS3 way of copying a video once it is loaded, but I don't know of anything offhand and VideoLoader doesn't have that functionality built in.
