rlaydtjs Posted April 18 Share Posted April 18 import React from 'react'; import { useRef } from 'react'; import gsap from 'gsap'; import { useGSAP } from '@gsap/react'; import { ScrollTrigger } from 'gsap/ScrollTrigger'; gsap.registerPlugin(useGSAP); export default function Apps() { const sectionsRef = useRef([]); const section2BoxRef = useRef(null); useGSAP(() => { const viewportWidth = window.innerWidth; if (viewportWidth >= 1024) { let visualTimeline = gsap.timeline({ scrollTrigger: { trigger: sectionsRef.current[1], start: 'top+=1000px top', end: 'center 50%', invalidateOnRefresh: true, pinnedContainer: sectionsRef.current[1], markers: true, toggleActions: 'play none none reverse', }, }); visualTimeline.add(() => {}, '0.1'); visualTimeline .to(section2BoxRef.current, { width: '100%', height: '100%', borderRadius: '0', ease: 'none', top: '352px', }) .to(section2BoxRef.current, { position: 'absolute', top: '0', height: '100vh', }) .to(section2BoxRef.current, { scale: 1, }); ScrollTrigger.create({ trigger: sectionsRef.current[1], start: 'top top', end: 'bottom+=2500px top', pin: true, }); } }); return (
<section className="section section1" ref={(el) => (sectionsRef.current[0] = el)} >
Lorem Ipsum is ~

<section className="section section2" ref={(el) => (sectionsRef.current[1] = el)} >
pinned text

box

<section className="section section3" ref={(el) => (sectionsRef.current[2] = el)} >
Lorem Ipsum is ~

); } Im declaring a constant named viewportWidth and assigning it the value of the current inner width of the window. However, this code is only working when refreshing on mobile. I don't see any React examples for 'matchMedia()', is it possible to use it in React? GSAP Helper Posted April 18 Share Posted April 18 Without a minimal demo, it's very difficult to troubleshoot; the issue could be caused by CSS, markup, a third party library, a 3rd party script, etc. Would you please provide a very simple CodePen or Stackblitz that illustrates the issue? Please don't include your whole project. Just some colored
elements and the GSAP code is best. See if you can recreate the issue with as few dependencies as possible. Start minimal and then incrementally add code bit by bit until it breaks. Usually people solve their own issues during this process! If not, at least we have a reduced test case which greatly increases your chances of getting a relevant answer. See the Pen aYYOdN by GreenSock (@GreenSock) on CodePen that loads all the plugins. Just click "fork" at the bottom right and make your minimal demo: Using a framework/library like React, Vue, Next, etc.? CodePen isn't always ideal for these tools, so here are some Stackblitz starter templates that you can fork and import the gsap-trial NPM package for using any of the bonus plugins: React (please read this article!) Next Svelte Sveltekit Vue Nuxt Please share the StackBlitz link directly to the file in question (where you've put the GSAP code) so we don't need to hunt through all the files. Once we see an isolated demo, we'll do our best to jump in and help with your GSAP-specific questions. ✅ Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Rodrigo Posted April 18 Share Posted April 18 Hi, This demo uses the useGSAP hook with GSAP MatchMedia: https://stackblitz.com/edit/vitejs-vite-pfhzkf?file=src%2FApp.jsx Here you can see the docs for MatchMedia: https://gsap.com/docs/v3/GSAP/gsap.matchMedia() Hopefully this helps. Happy Tweening! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
