clippert
Hello GSAP pros! I have just a quick question on horizontal scroll. Is it possible to have an animation start, play, and finish before the horizontal action starts? Essentially the first "panel" would have to be pinned or position:sticky somehow. Please let me know, thank you! See the Pen poqXmxd by Curtis-Lippert (@Curtis-Lippert) on CodePen
Solution mvaneijgen Posted October 18, 2023 Solution Share Posted October 18, 2023 Of course you can! Just create a timeline and add tween before the tween you're sharing now that lets slay spins the title text 360 degrees and after that is done the tween starts that moves the sections to the right. If you need help please provide a minimal demo with the code you've tried, that way we can see your thought process and thus better help you understand the tools! Rodrigo
Hi, Maybe this thread can provide some good pointers: Keep in mind that pinning is not something supported when creating fake horizontal scroll animations for logic reasons, because you're not actually scrolling horizontally, you are using GSAP to move on the X axis some elements, nothing more, so in order to resemble pinning, you have to pause that motion on the X axis to make other animations and then resume that motion. Hopefully this helps. Happy Tweening!
