lucastagne Posted January 3, 2025 Posted January 3, 2025 hello, I have a problem with a scroll trigger with a pin for two sections, the goal is to pin the first one, scroll to pin the second, and scroll to the bottom of the page. I tried a lot of different things, with anticipate pin, trigger, and change the start and end of the trigger, but nothing looks ok, a little 'jump' appears between the different pin. Actually, the trigger is on the parent of the 2 sections , and in the same timeline, but i don't know how to fix it.. I attached a video and the code i used. Thanks for the response :) Enregistrement de l’écran 2025-01-03 à 14.mp4
GSAP Helper Posted January 3, 2025 Posted January 3, 2025 Without a minimal demo, it's very difficult to troubleshoot; the issue could be caused by CSS, markup, a third party library, a 3rd party script, etc. Would you please provide a very simple CodePen or Stackblitz that illustrates the issue? Please don't include your whole project. Just some colored <div> elements and the GSAP code is best. See if you can recreate the issue with as few dependencies as possible. Start minimal and then incrementally add code bit by bit until it breaks. Usually people solve their own issues during this process! If not, at least we have a reduced test case which greatly increases your chances of getting a relevant answer. See the Pen aYYOdN by GreenSock (@GreenSock) on CodePen. that loads all the plugins. Just click "fork" at the bottom right and make your minimal demo: Using a framework/library like React, Vue, Next, etc.? CodePen isn't always ideal for these tools, so here are some Stackblitz starter templates that you can fork and import the gsap-trial NPM package for using any of the bonus plugins: React (please read this article!) Next Svelte Sveltekit Vue Nuxt Please share the StackBlitz link directly to the file in question (where you've put the GSAP code) so we don't need to hunt through all the files. Once we see an isolated demo, we'll do our best to jump in and help with your GSAP-specific questions. ✅
ryan_labar Posted January 3, 2025 Posted January 3, 2025 It also looks like you've got two nested or conflicting scrolltriggers in one timeline. I'd recommend carefully reading through this: https://gsap.com/resources/st-mistakes 1
Rodrigo Posted January 3, 2025 Posted January 3, 2025 Yep Ryan is correct, you have the same element being pinned at the same time by two different ScrollTrigger instances, both have the same trigger element and both start at "top top" so the same element is pinned twice at the same time. On top of that you have a Timeline with a ScrollTrigger configuration and a child Tween with a ScroillTrigger configuration: https://gsap.com/resources/st-mistakes#nesting-scrolltriggers-inside-multiple-timeline-tweens
