Should the morph plugin work on open paths?

I've got this situation where I'd like to morph a line into a different shape. Am I doing something wrong, or can the morph plugin only morph closed paths?

No that should work, the only thing is your 'line' is not at a real position. I'm not sure what it is you're trying to do, but if you have a line at the bottom of the triangle it works?

Thank you, that resolve the problem I was experiencing.

For context, I have a shape that I want to transition between to different forms. So my "line" is basically a placeholder to be updated by gsap (which gets its information from other svg shapes)
