Webschmiede
helloo friends, I've animated an SVG on a client's website that runs from one side to the other. It works great in all browsers... except for Safari. There, I get a display error of the SVG and I'm not sure if or what I can do about it. Has anyone had a similar problem? The text refers to the pink owl without the butt at the level of the "Winzer" heading." https://www.rosaliadac.at
GSAP Helper
It's pretty tough to troubleshoot without a minimal demo - the issue could be caused by CSS, markup, a third party library, your browser, an external script that's totally unrelated to GSAP, etc. Would you please provide a very simple CodePen or CodeSandbox that demonstrates the issue? Please don't include your whole project. Just some colored <div> elements and the GSAP code is best (avoid frameworks if possible). See if you can recreate the issue with as few dependancies as possible. If not, incrementally add code bit by bit until it breaks. Usually people solve their own issues during this process! If not, then at least we have a reduced test case which greatly increases your chances of getting a relevant answer. Here's a starter CodePen that loads all the plugins. Just click "fork" at the bottom right and make your minimal demo: See the Pen aYYOdN by GreenSock (@GreenSock) on CodePen If you're using something like React/Next/Vue/Nuxt or some other framework, you may find StackBlitz easier to use. We have a series of collections with different templates for you to get started on these different frameworks: React/Next/Vue/Nuxt. Once we see an isolated demo, we'll do our best to jump in and help with your GSAP-specific questions.
mvaneijgen
Do you have a minimal demo of just the owl. That way it's way easier to test to see what could be the culprit and do you have a Safari version + OS that has the issue? For me on Safari Version 16.3 (18614.4.6.1.6) on macOS version 13.2.1 (22D68) I see an owl on the bottom of the page walkin to the right.
Webschmiede
ok, made a minimalistic codepen: See the Pen rNZGqye by lisaglatzl (@lisaglatzl) on CodePen But it looks completely normal, right? That means other files or plugins might be causing issues?
mvaneijgen
Yeah to me both the pen and the demo work fine on my version of Safari. If you're not seeing it I would disable CSS and HTML until you've found the culprit.
