"Scratch off" image to reveal a different one

Is it possible to build this type of experience with GSAP.

I'm limited. Need a light code without jQuery. 

Please advise.

I guess my question would be "why?". GSAP is great at manipulating element properties over time and managing those timelines. The pen above illustrates something a bit outside of that scope. While I'm sure something could be whipped up with GSAP ... why when the solution in the pen handles it perfectly?

Yes i agree with @Shaun Gorneau .. there is no need for GSAP since there is nothing animating, its all user interaction via canvas.

 

Also i dont even see jQuery in that pen above. It looks like vanilla (native) javascript.
